Artist: LUCONG

This is an amazing portrait artist! Lu Cong has taken a different approach to figurative realism, and he has a very unique style. The subjects in his paintings pose with a straight face, staring straight ahead like a dear in headlights. The models are not glamorous at all. Most are women; thin and pale looking. There is definitely a certain "look" that he likes for his models. There is something quite strange and awkward about his paintings and models. I think that is what makes them interesting to look at.
